001. so I was reading the dailytelegraph.com.au article "Naturopath Reveals Importance of Immune System Support in Toddlers" (2015-08-03) wherein the ND states:
"'I treat a lot of toddlers generally around the 18 months to four years age group. My goal is always to strengthen their immune system before they start day care through probiotic therapy [...] probiotics are all the good bacteria that live in your gut; 85 per cent of your immune system lines your gut. If your gut is happy, your immune system is happy.”
Harvard Medical School would take exception with this idea that the immune system can be cranked up. I decided to check the ND's own practice pages.
002. ND Southerland writes in "Homeopathic Family Medicine":
"homeopathy was developed over 200 years ago and is now used worldwide [...] its effectiveness has been clearly established by over 200 years of clinical experience and has a pharmacy of over 3000 medicines, which are non-toxic and non-addictive [...] homeopathy can treat a wide range of chronic and acute illnesses."
NOT according to science.
