MD Hall at Science-Based Medicine: “Authorizing NDs to Treat Veterans is a Mistake”

here, criticism of the VA starting to include NDs in their coverage:

001. MD Hall writes at the blog sciencebasedmedicine.org in "Naturopathy in the VA" (2019-09-24), in part:

“the VA is contracting with naturopathic doctors to provide non-science-based treatment to our veterans. This is a mistake […] Britt Hermes […] a former naturopathic doctor turned whistleblower […] explains: ‘the profession functions as a system of indoctrination based on discredited ideas about health and medicine, full of pseudoscientific rhetoric and loaded with ineffective and dangerous practices. Naturopaths must be highly scrutinized because they have an ongoing history of deceit and exploitation—veiled in good intention’ […] their education includes homeopathy, for crying out loud! Homeopathy not only doesn’t work but is incompatible with our knowledge of science. It was debunked in 1842.”

hear, hear.  Licensed falsehood marches on...
