"[presenter] head to wane.com [for more information...] naturopathic therapy is meant to make a patient feel better but it's also meant to empower a patient to take control of their well being [...] Dr. Emily Moore is a naturopathic doctor and the manager of the integrative care team at the Goshen Center for Cancer Care [...and we're shown supplements] other naturopathic options include acupuncture [...and the ND states] really does empower a patient [...]";
so, nowhere is there even an atom of 'hey, look closely at naturopathy and you'll see at its core falsehood: like science subset homeopathy, vitalism, supernaturalism and kind'. Falsehood does not empower. Ah, the reversal of values...
002. at goshenhealth.com, there's "Naturopathic Medicine" [2019 archived] wherein we're told:
"naturopathic medicine plays a major role in our comprehensive program at Goshen Center for Cancer Care. This system of medicine provides individualized support for the body’s natural healing process. Strategies may include: dietary interventions, vitamins, supplements, botanicals, lifestyle counseling. Our naturopathic doctors work closely with our patients to empower them to make healthy changes. Noninvasive, natural therapies strengthen the body. We use naturopathic medicine before, during and after conventional cancer treatments to strengthen the body's internal disease-fighting abilities [...] nutritional supplements offer an effective, complementary approach to support wellness and address underlying causes of dysfunction. Usually, patients who use nutritional supplements have fewer complications and side effects from treatment. Although each patient's situation is unique, our naturopathic doctors may recommend supplements during chemotherapy or radiation treatment for their anti-inflammatory and anticarcinogenic properties, as well as their ability to support healthy cells and proper nerve function. Homeopathy. Homeopathy is based on the understanding that natural substances, prepared in diluted doses, can stimulate the natural defenses in the body and help restore health. Some symptoms that don't respond well to conventional medicine may respond to homeopathic therapies. Botanical preparations. Many plant substances are powerful health-promoting agents when used properly. Where single, chemically derived drugs may address a single problem, botanicals are often able to address a variety of problems simultaneously. We may use botanicals in conjunction with conventional treatments to reduce side effects and enhance treatment effectiveness. We can help. To find out how we treat cancer like nowhere else, talk with our cancer experts at Goshen Center for Cancer Care, (888) 492-(HOPE) [...]";
so: they love it there. And, of course, coded vitalism. Such opacity, in spite of their claim, is not empowering. It's is manipulative, it is deceptive. Now, supplements in general are NOT known to be efficacious. Otherwise they'd be in standard of care. But they don't compare favorably that way. And of course, since this is naturopathy, therefore homeopathy. The bogosity of pseudopharmaceutical bogosities, along with herbal whatever and such crap. I say crap because, notice, there's NOTHING in a homeopathic remedy and yet they list it here as 'just as good as all our other stuff here that we're listing.' Therein, when everything compares favorably to NOTHING, there's something HUGELY WRONG going on. But, there's money in that there dispensary. And to be quite poignant: homeopathy has NO SCIENCE showing it creates an effect in the body never mind that it intervenes with diseases. No mention of any of that by the 'news' [more supplements here; more coded vitalism here].
