Skeptic's Guide to the Universe on Recent Naturopath-Administered Turmeric IV Death

here, some cursory press on this developing tragedy:

001. theskepticsguide.org tells us in "Podcast #613 - April 8th, 2017" [at about 47 minutes]:

"[via Ms. Santa Maria] this awful awful tragedy [...] if you graduate from a school accredited by the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education [...] and you also pass a licensing exam [...] you get to legally be called a doctor in the State of California [...] it's so scary [...] they're regulated by their own board [...and she mentions naturopathy therapies that] are not FDA approved [...like] ozone [...and Dr. N. says] naturopaths operate in a different world, a world without evidence [...] they learned pseudoscience [...]";

hear, hear.  And they mention some NDs by name, former-ND Hermes's write-up on the issue at Forbes, and NECSS which I usually attend in-part.  And what IS up with prounouncing TURmeric 'tumeric', as Ms. Santa Maria pointed out?  I had to go back and fix my own spelling, in this post, because I'd dropped the 'r' in the title.
