Miscategorization Microcosm 2017: AANMC’s ND Yanez Says ‘Science-Based’ while the WHOLE North American ND Edifice Is Committed to the Science-Ejected

here, you simply cannot make this stuff up. And the big question is 'what's wrong with these people?':

001. at Natural Medicine Journal, the AANP's official Journal, we’re told in “10 Common Myths About Naturopathic Medicine” [published 2017-09-12; 2017 archived] as written by ND Yanez, an SCNM ND graduate [by the way, it was SCNM that posted a link to this AANMC article through their Facebook account recently
.
]:

"below we will address some common myths and misunderstandings about naturopathic medicine [...] myth #2: not scientific/evidenced based: another common myth about naturopathic medicine is that it is not science/evidenced based. Regulated naturopathic doctors go through a rigorous four-year science-based medical education at an accredited or candidate school of the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education [...with] minimum of two years is spent studying the same biomedical sciences that prepare medical students to be doctors. ND students learn to appraise and weigh the research evidence base as a part of developing patient treatment plans. ND schools are also leaders in developing primary research in natural medicine";

so, isn't in interesting that Yanez as THE representative of the AANMC claims to be busting myths but her claim that naturopathy is squarely science is bullshit.

002. at the World Naturopathic Federation page "WNF Founding Members" [2017 archived] we're told:
"the following are the founding members of the WNF [...] Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges (AANMC) [...and] American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) [...] Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) [...]'";

so there's AANMC and the US and Canada big org.s as in ALL of North American naturopathy.

003. and at WNF we're told in "Overview of the Naturopathic Profession" [2017 archived]:

"the philosophies of 'vitalism' and 'holism' are core to naturopathic practice globally";

so that's what is expressly science-exterior or -ejected.  Such a self-conviction!

004. again:

what's wrong with these people?  Science has ejected vitalism and kind.  Naturopathy patently states that vitalism is its operational mode.  And yet naturopathy claims to be science just like all other higher education modern science.

this is, of course, the naturopathillogical.  Going on now really for about 40 years, ever since Bastyr founded. So much harm, marches on...
