001.a. Layman, K. (ND SCNM) who states at ctnaturopathic.com in:
001.a1. "ADD/ADHD" [2018 archived]:
"homeopathic treatment. Unlike conventional medications, homeopathic treatment does not mask the symptoms of ADHD. The brain is often described as 'plastic,' meaning that it has the remarkable ability to change over time and under different environmental influences. Homeopathy stimulates our innate self-healing mechanisms to take advantage of this plasticity and heal neurobehavioral and neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD. There is scientific evidence for the effectiveness of homeopathy. A randomized control trial demonstrated positive effects of homeopathy in the treatment of ADHD. Another study showed that individualized homeopathic treatment was comparable to treatment with methylphenidate (Ritalin). The effectiveness of homeopathy is complimented by its safety and ability to improve symptoms without side effects. Homeopathic medicines do not interact with other medications and can be used in conjunction with, or as an alternative to, pharmaceuticals [...] Dr. Layman has seen many, many children establish healthy attentive behavior with homeopathic treatment";
ah, no. Not science-supported and not effective in terms of what science sciences. Well call that cherry-picking and denialism.
001.a2. "What is Homeopathy?" [2018 archived]:
"Dr. Layman frequently finds homeopathic treatment at the core of her practice [...] homeopathic treatment brings true healing as the body is rebalanced and
symptoms are eliminated, not suppressed by outside influences [...] homeopathic medicines contain small amounts of natural substances that stimulate a healing response within our bodies. The benefits of using homeopathy are that is it safe for everyone, including pregnant women, children, and the elderly [...] while some homeopathic remedies are easily used at home for acute conditions like bumps and bruises, prescribing homeopathic medicines for serious acute and chronic conditions requires a highly developed skill set. Homeopathy is a system of applied pharmacology, in other words it is a method of using medicines to stimulate the innate healing power of our bodies [...] homeopathic medicines are regulated by the FDA and can be used for almost any ailment [...]";
what interests me too is the coded vitalism. And actually homeopathic remedies are EXEMPT from FDA requirements that they show efficacy and be scientifically supported. Pharmacology is a science and homeopathy hugely is not. It's like comparing astronomy to astrology, chemistry to alchemy, airplanes to flying carpets.
001.b. NDs Skowron, Kerr, Schull, Layman, and Alston of "Pediatric & Family Center for Natural Medicine" at naturopathicanswer.com state in:

"homeopathic medicines contain small amounts of natural substances that stimulate a healing response within our bodies. Homeopathic medicines can be used for almost any ailment. The benefits of homeopathy are that it is highly cost effective and safe for everyone, including pregnant women, children, and the elderly [...]";
oh my. Award the Nobels. Doesn't cost effective first have to be effective?!?!?!?
