Not an Ounce of Criticism: ND Svobodny at Fawning Prairie Public Broadcasting 2019 [and a 'Science Subset Naturopathy Subset Homeopathy' Coded Proposition]

here, the cheerleading [not the first time] of PBB concerning naturopathy, its coded vitalism, its science claim, its homeopathy, and a proposition that this is a suitable position for primary care practice:

001. so, at pairiepublic.org, we're told in the podcast episode "Dr. Alli Svobodny ~ Poet Jessica Jones" [2019 archived; 2019-06-17; till 00.18.25]:

"[from the description] Monday, June 17, 2019 – naturopathic doctor Alli Svobodny joins us for a discussion of the nationwide doctor shortage, and how naturopathy can help [...]";

so, is the doctor shortage so short that an MD couldn't be found?

[...from the audio, the quite cheerleading host states that the ND] practices at Prairie Naturopathic Doctors [...] what is a naturopathic doctor?' [...the ND] so a naturopathic doctor is essentially a primary care physician focused on the body's natural healing capacity [BNHC...] ";

now, that's interesting because though the ND claims she's there to educate, the BNHC is a coding for the science-ejected idea of vitalism that is the basis for naturopathy.

"we go through that same sort of science-based four-year post-graduate education [...]";

so, there's the claim "science-based" subset naturopathy, which is categorically false.  Unless your idea of science is anything-can-be-science.

"[NDs have training in] homeopathy [...]";

the science-based excludes homeopathy.  Period.  So another huge contradiction. Unless you don't regard opposites as contradictory.

"there are hundreds if not thousands of naturopathic doctors that are capable of stepping into that primary care role [...] where naturopathic doctors could also be a good addition in that primary care role [...] we're pretty primed to help with the doctor shortage [...]";

is science-as-anything really what we want from such responsible people as physicians of primary care?  Maybe, if you don't regard a physician and a metaphysician as different.

"when I was in medical school [...a] really rigorous and honestly expensive training [...]";

well, if we're going to be honest, rigorous and medical well, naturopaths don't go to medical school because medical doctors do and when science-is-anything, well, I think that it's dishonest to pose naturopathy as science-based and rigorous.

"I just want people to understand who we are what we do [...]";

me too!

002. at Prairie Naturopathic Doctors, we find:

002.a. that the ND is a Bastyr ND graduate practicing with four other BU ND grads.:

and of course, regarding naturopathy's underlying vitalism, it is actually BU's seal and stated there quite explicitly at times;

002.b. more coded vitalism here and here with a concurrent categorical science claim;
