NECSS 2017: My Short Jaunt and Sampling

here, some snippets, as I didn't take in the whole conference:

001. well, went down to NYC by commuter train today and caught half-a-day of Science-Based Medicine at this year's Northeast Conference on Science and Skepticism:

002. and, as highlighted above, I must say I went particularly to hear Britt Hermes former-ND speak.  I was not disappointed.  Her recounting of being attracted to, being within, and then getting herself out of naturopathy made me cry.  Though her details are different, I know the emotions involved and the course one feels.  And as she's a hero of mine, I'm happy I got to say face-to face 'thanks for all that she's doing'.  And I have to admit that my heartrate was quite above normal, because it was all so close-to-home.  Perhaps we can also warn: 'the naturopathy apostates are coming!'  And this I tweeted:
