so, in their OWN words, dedicated to the "healing power of nature".
"I will conduct my life and the practice of naturopathic health care with vigilance, integrity, and freedom from prejudice. I will abstain from voluntary acts of injustice and corruption [...]";
002. the oath and its significance. Here's the oath, according to the AANP from their document "Physicians Oath" [their 'no punct.'; 2017 archived], which I believe should actually be 'metaphysician' oath:
"I dedicate myself to the service of humanity as a practitioner of the art and science of naturopathic medicine [...]";
rich. How are we serving humanity with pseudoscience, overall?
"I will honor my teachers and all who have preserved and developed this knowledge and dedicate myself to supporting the growth and evolution of Naturopathic medicine [...]";
one must honor the people who perpetuate this falsehood of many kinds. Not honor the truth, or scientific integrity, but 'the knowledge', the naturopathillogical knowledge. And naturopathy evolves the way grifters evolve their grifts.
"I will endeavor to continually improve my abilities as a healer through study, reflection, and genuine concern for humanity [...]";
so, why oh why can't they get to 'scientific integrity' in all this endeavoring, the most important of allied health care improvements? Because their sectarian commitments block them. If naturopathy truly studied, reflected, had such a concern for humanity, they would undo all the naturopathic and be left with stuff they borrowed from regular medicine and allied health care.
"I will impart knowledge of the advanced healing arts to dedicated colleagues and students [...]";
so, now, pseudoscience and the naturopathillogical are "advanced health arts". Not. And the meme is to be disseminated.
"through precept, lecture, and example, I will assist and encourage others to strengthen their health, reduce risks for disease, and preserve the health of our planet for ourselves, our families, and future generations [...]";
noble. That ounce of good in all this nonsense and perniciousness.
"according to my best ability and judgment, I will use methods of treatment which follow the principles of naturopathic medicine [...]";
ah, here is the sectarian commitments. I argue that too, you must falsely pose as all naturopathy does what isn't science as science to truly abide by this oath.
"[the second being] to act in cooperation with the healing power of nature [...]";
a commitment to ACT as in behave vitalistically.
"I will conduct my life and the practice of naturopathic health care with vigilance, integrity, and freedom from prejudice. I will abstain from voluntary acts of injustice and corruption [...]";
well, truly, the act of being naturopathic lacks integrity, is prejudiced as sectarian skewing lens, and is unjust to society and corrupt in terms of its knowledge category. Again, doing doing doing this.
"with my whole heart, before this gathering of witnesses, as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, I pledge to remain true to this oath [...]";
an oath I never took, to preserve my self-integrity.
003. the school, UBCNM, and its false assurances:
003.a. of science:
overall, we're told naturopathy is "health science" while it contains such junk as homeopathy and this oath shows that commitment to the science-exterior at the CORE of naturopathy;
003.b. of nonsectarian:
yes, strangely enough UB claims "nonsectarian" and naturopathy is an epitome of sectarian medicine.
