001. the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia tells us in "Code of Conduct" [2017 archived]:
"practice according to the principles of naturopathic medicine: the naturopathic physician will practice [...] following these principles of naturopathic medicine. The naturopathic physician [...#2] shall recognize, respect and promote the self-healing power of nature inherent in each individual human being (vis medicatrix naturae)";
and that's all we' told. That's rather weird, since a "code of conduct" should be rather EXPRESSED.
002. decoding the Code's coded vitalism. So, it's rather EASY to follow this contextual thread:
CNPBC regulates naturopathic physicians in BC, obviously;
BC has the ND-granting school BINM;
BINM is an affiliate of CAND;
CAND is a full member of the World Naturopathic Federation, which has expressed obligation to behaviors centered around naturopathy's fictitious "vital force".
oh, the tangled webs they weave...
