here, from a recent email:
001. the New York Association of Naturopathic Physicians sent out the email titled "2020 NYANP Annual Conference"[2020 archived; saved 2020-09-11] which reads:
"[the presentation titled] Integrating Homeopathy into Breast Cancer Treatment Plans [...by] Dr. Heidi Weinhold [...] naturopathic medicine had its origins as a combination of nature cure and homeopathy [...]";
and so it is quite correct to state that homeopathy is 'baked-in' to naturopathy. In fact, CURRENTLY in this moment, day, and age, homeopathy is still on the North American licensure exam which categorizes the bogosity as a "clinic science" [2020 archived]. That's akin to a botany exam containing "magic beans" in its "science of _______" section.
"over time, the profession evolved to include other eclectic modalities such as botanical medicine, manipulation, acupuncture, and pharmaceuticals. However, at the core of naturopathic medicine is homeopathy [...]";
ah, yeah. Aka 'magic beans, unicorn tears, and flying carpets'.
"the world needs homeopathy now more than ever. Homeopathy is effective, affordable, timeless, and in the mainstream [...]";
actually, I don't think these adjectives are accurate.
"after listening to this lecture, attendees will feel comfortable dialoguing with other medical professionals to integrate homeopathic protocols into their patients' breast cancer treatment plans [...]";
that's pretty sick. Cancer is serious, and oncology requires complete transparency, non-deluded practitioners, and NO ABSURDITIES that then set a precedent for other ABSURDITIES.
002. her NYANP bio. [2020 archived] tells us:
"Dr. Heidi Weinhold completed a four-year doctoral program in naturopathic medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona [...]";
at SCNM you can find a blanket statement that naturopathy is of a scientific foundation while containing homeopathy [2020 catalog]. Also that that NPLEX Part II that contains homeopathy is about "clinical sciences."
"in 2013, she received the Alumni Award from Southwest College in recognition of her contribution to the advancement of Naturopathic Medicine. In 2017, Southwest College further honored Dr. Weinhold by bestowing upon her an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters [...]";
really.
"from 2006-2018, Dr. Weinhold served as the legislative chair for the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Medicine, working with legislators to promote legislation to license naturopathic doctors in Pennsylvania. A giant step towards this effort was achieved with the passage of House Bill 516 in 2016 [...which] provides title protection and registration for naturopathic doctors graduating from accredited naturopathic medical colleges [...]";
and at PANM, during those years, they falsely labeled naturopathy's principles such as its science-ejected vitalism as able to survive scientific filtering.
"Dr. Weinhold received the 2017 Physician of the Year Award by the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Weinhold has a private practice in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania [...]";
kudos!
003. the web pages of the ND:
003.a. her bio. page states:
"passed national NPLEX examinations (Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examination)";
yes.
003.b. her YouTube channel contains a few homeopathy-centered videos with lots-o-claims;
