Changelog 2020-12-18 and ND Video

here, I summarize recent additions to my public naturopathy database.  I also link to an ND's video each changelog, quote from, and tag the video in some detail:

[Mission emphasis: I do this continuous exercise to expose the inherent fraud that naturopathy is logically, academically, commercially, legislatively / politically and clinically.  Hugely misleading category labels such as "science based" and "evidence based" "nonsectarian" are being placed upon what truly is science-exterior and even more so disproven sectarian / quack nonsense!  Then, the largest of betrayals toward the public occurs with highly orchestrated '.gov' endorsements of naturopaths as "licensed" and "professional."  Beware, the naturopathic licensed falsehood racket marches on!]

002. video link and commentary:

002.a. there's the YouTube video by Nixon, A. (ND Bastyr 2013) who state in "Treat Pain Naturally with a Real Naturopathic Doctor!" [saved 2020-12-17]:

.

.

[tags: #NDNixon #medicalclaim #claimofmedical #claimofhighlyeducated]

.

"it's really important to have someone like me on your healthcare team [...she says she has a] medical degree [...] that medical degree [...] a have a four-year naturopathic medical degree [...an AANMC ND degree that makes such people] actually doctors [...of] an actual medical degree or an actual license [...] a medical naturopathic doctor [...] I have taken board exams [...] it's very similar to a conventional medical degree [...] we take the same basic science boards as an MD [...NDs are] highly-educated [...]";

so, the INSISTENCE of apparently excellent medical doctor qualifications [IMHO].  Sure, unethical sectarian pseudoscience and mainstream medicine -- all the same.  All actually doctors / actual medical / actual license.  That highly-educated doctoral level just like it all out there in university-land SCIENCE.  But, of course there is a but, then why oh why is it that the ND's alma mater, Bastyr University, claims science foundation subset homeopathy???  Danger, danger...

"[it's important] to give you a proper diagnosis [...with patients] I can get to the root of their pain [...our treatment options include] herbs and supplements [...] it's always my goal to educate my patients [...] true authentic reality [...] an actual solution to the problem [...] and really be skeptical [...and she speaks about] injection therapies [...like] placement rich plasma";

so, yeah.  But it always amazes me that those that claim to get to the root, here too what's true, authentic, real, actual...claim such things as science subset homeopathy.  Yeah, that's proper.  To criticize this nonsense is to actually BE skeptical.  Really skeptical.  Actually skeptical.  Authentically skeptical.

002.b. her practice pages:

002.b1. of course, there are such science claims as in "Meet Dr. Nixon" [2020 archived]:

"I realized there was an enormous gap between the science and how we were treating people clinically";

oh the irony, the irony.  How about that enormous gap between actual science and what naturopathy claims?

002.b2. and of course vitalism:

002.b2.i. in "Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine" [2020 archived]:

"the philosophy & principles of acupuncture: the Chinese postulated that there is an energy flow in every living being that is responsible for life. They called this energy the qi force. This energy is analogous to the Indian concept of ‘prana’ or life force and permeates all creation [...]";

yes, my young Jedi. Now, just to be clear, in North America some jurisdictions don't require a separate acupuncture license since such is within those jurisdiction's naturopathy permissions.  In other words, it would be a mistake to assume that this stuff sits alone outside of naturopathy.

"the qi flows through the body in channels called acupuncture meridians. Every meridian influences an organ and there are different meridians for the heart, liver, lung, large intestine, stomach, kidney, urinary bladder etc. Some acupuncture meridians are negative in orientation while others are positive in orientation. The Chinese call these the yin and the yang [...] in a person who is healthy, the qi flows through all the channels smoothly and the yin and yang are in a state of dynamic equilibrium [...] in a person who is sick, the energy flows are obstructed and unbalanced causing either an excess or a deficiency of yin, or an excess or a deficiency of yang. Acupuncture achieves its curative effect by clearing the obstruction in the flow of qi and balancing the energy flow. Once the flow of energy is restored to normal, the person becomes and remains healthy [...]";

pre-scientific vitalism red in tooth and claw at a university that claims "science-based" and "science"...upon this junk.  Energy, of course, in terms of science, is measurable and complies with a such areas as thermodynamics. It is real. This stuff is as real as Jedi...Yet, this is an M.S. at BU.  Because, to quote Dr. Spaceman, "science is whatever we want it to be."
