Public Radio and Abject Pseudoscience Promotion: Naturopathy and Wisconsin Public Radio

here, same old unchallenged uninformed promotion:

001. at wpr.org, Mackenzie Krumme writes in "Wisconsin’s Naturopathic Doctors Prepare for Expanded Duties" [2022-08], without an ounce of counterpoint reflecting the scientific consensus :

"Wisconsin is in the early stages of integrating naturopathic medicine into its health care safety net [...]";

let's think about that: naturopathic and safety.  How safe can a system be that claims the science-ejected is instead the science-based?  The better 's' word is scary, and add in exploitation.

"Gov. Tony Evers signed a bill earlier this year allowing naturopathic doctors to get licensed [...]";

therein, licensed falsehood marches on.  State-sanctioned pseudoscience.

"naturopathic doctors attend accredited naturopathic medical schools and specialize in clinical nutrition, acupuncture, homeopathic medicine, botanical medicine and counseling [...]";

so there's where the falsehoods are kept.  Like science subset homeopathy [and kind].

"creating regulations over naturopathic medicine will take at least two years, said Jill Crista, a Naturopathic Medicine Examining Board member and past president of the Wisconsin Naturopathic Doctors Association. The timeline includes establishing rules, creating a licensing exam and continuing education requirements [...]";

so, the miseducated now regulating their peers.  Sounds quite unsound and unsafe.  Why the special falsehood without penalty status when everyone else in healthcare has to abide by actual ethics?

"at least 16 naturopathic clinics exist around the state, according to the Wisconsin Naturopathic Doctors Association [...] Katarina Meister is a naturopathic doctor who works at Lakeside Natural Medicine in Milwaukee's Shorewood neighborhood [...] she is encouraged by the state creating standards and regulations around naturopathic medicine [...] 'for that license, people will need to take a national licensing exam, they will have to apply for licensure and will have to continue education,' she said. 'It will be safer for patients to seek out naturopathic care'"; 

what an amazing carve-out for such a small amount of vested interests impervious to integrity from a science point of view.  Posing falsehoods IS the naturopathic standard and that's what will be regulated for conformity.  The safety is for the false provider.
