001. on Facebook 2016-03-01, the VAANP and the MANP, that is, the AANP affiliates for Virgina and Michigan, shared a link from "livescience.com" concerning new science findings about the 'safety' of eggs, as in eggs' yolks and such things as effect on serum cholesterol:
.
002. how selective. Because, after all, it is:
002.a. VAANP that tells us:
002.a1. in "Naturopathic Medicine":
"naturopathic medicine is distinguished by the principles which underlie and determine its practice. These principles are based upon the objective observation of the nature of health and disease, and are continually reexamined in the light of scientific advances [...] naturopathic education includes [...] homeopathy [...and] classical Chinese medicine";
so, there's a promise of science and objectivitiy on such science exterior junk as homeopathy and Chinese medievalism.
002.a2. in "Principles of Naturopathic Medicine":
"the healing power of nature (vis medicatrix naturae): naturopathic medicine recognizes the body’s inherent self-healing ability, which is ordered and intelligent. Naturopathic doctors identify and remove obstacles to recovery and facilitate and augment this healing ability";
this is that coded naturopathic defining tenet: that a purposeful life spirit runs the body. Coded. And science doesn't operate that way, science is TRANSPARENT.
002.a3. in "Naturopathic Modalities":
"homeopathic medicine: this powerful system of medicine is more than 200 years old and is widely accepted in many countries [...] homeopathic medicines are very small doses of natural substances that can stimulate the body’s self-healing response. Homeopathic medicines, when properly prescribed, affect the body’s 'vital force' and strengthen its innate ability to heal. Homeopathic remedies function on both the physical and emotional levels, with few side effects. Some conditions that do not respond well to conventional medicine respond effectively to homeopathy";
and there's science-ejected homeopathy, and that explicit vitalism, and that claim that homeopathy is something more than placebo as in "function" and "powerful" and "effectively."
002.b. MANP also has:
homeopathy and claims it is "effective", coded vitalism, and "basic science" as a supposed naturopathy degree undergirding;
same old wrong labels, and when you wipe away that thin patina, you find rot and rust. Science as the sword of sectarian pseudomedicine, marches on...
