here, I summarize recent additions to my public naturopathy database. I also link to an ND's video each changelog, quote from, and tag the video in some detail:
[Mission emphasis: I do this continuous exercise to expose the inherent fraud that naturopathy is logically, academically, commercially, legislatively / politically and clinically. Hugely misleading category labels such as "science based" and "evidence based" "nonsectarian" are being placed upon what truly is science-exterior and even more so disproven sectarian / quack nonsense! Then, the largest of betrayals toward the public occurs with highly orchestrated '.gov' endorsements of naturopaths as "licensed" and "professional." Beware, the naturopathic licensed falsehood racket marches on!]

002.a. the great State of California has up their naturopathic.ca.gov* YouTube videos "Naturopathic Medicine Committee (Part 1) - February 25, 2021" [saved 2021-02-27] and "Naturopathic Medicine Committee (Part 2) - February 25, 2021" [saved 2021-02-27]:
*yes, state endorsed quackery!

with this agenda. The videos may seem like examples of boring bureaucracy. But, that appearance is a veneer for extreme sectarian nonsense. E.g.:
002.b. now, at naturopathic.ca.gov:
there's naturopathy's massive science-ejected homeopathy quackery, including the page "Committee Members Bio" that includes NDs Thompson, D'Amico, Singleton, and Yoon. For the second ND, that page states: "she utilizes several novel approaches to help her patients, including classical homeopathy, biotherapeutic drainage [which is homeopathy too] and European biological medicine, counseling and physical medicine." Also at naturopathic.ca.gov, there's "A Consumer's Guide to Naturopathic Medicine" which states homeopathy is within naturopathy twice.
these people are the overseers of naturopathy in California, supposedly trusted with protecting the public good. The Mission Statement of the Board includes this mission language: "to serve the public and licensed naturopathic doctors through the promotion and enforcement of laws and regulations which protect the health and safety of Californians, thus ensuring access to high quality naturopathic medical care."
how does quackery serve the public, protect health and safety, and encompass high-quality? Aka, who is watching the watchers? A consumer's guide that doesn't immediate inform the consumer audience that homeopathy is bogus is no consumer guide at all.
002.c. at bastyr.edu, the web pages of Bastyr University which has a California campus and grants ND degrees, we're told naturopathy and its requisite homeopathy is:
"science-based natural medicine [...of] natural health sciences";
002.d. at the California Academy of Sciences, in "Vision and Values", we're told:
002.e. meanwhile, the California Naturopathic Doctors Association at calnd.org:
002.e1. has homeopathy posed quite falsely as efficacious [2021 archived] particularly for mental health disorders as written by an ND Janikula (SCNM 2003) who tells us at his practice's bio. page that "the controversy in homeopathy is basically related to a complete lack of understanding of homeopathy, and also a complete lack of understanding of science [...] when applied based on established scientific principles the effectiveness cannot be matched" and on another page "homeopathy is a scientific system";
or not! Science is a collective undertaking, my man. This seems to be the argument, in sum: 'the scientists got it wrong about science, this nonscience is science and I'm not a scientist.' So its very interesting to read the ND state "no one knows the ins and outs of this disease better than Dr. Janikula." And therefore homeopathy: "Dr. Janikula specializes in treating complicated cases of mental
illness. He is currently taking on patients diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, rapid cycling bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and major depressive disorder." While I wonder if homeopathy itself is a similar kind of 'detached from reality' dysfunction...
002.e2. a board of directors page with president ND Cicerone claiming:
she uses "evidence-based natural therapies" on that page while at her multi-ND practice there's the statement "naturopathic doctors work with a large toolkit of evidence-based, safe and effective natural therapies: herbs, vitamins and minerals, homeopathic remedies, bioidentical hormones, nutritional IVs and other natural therapies – to restore health";
ah, yes. The evidence-based science-ejected.
003. from each so-called State of California 'public good overseer', one can find:
003.b1. ND Thompson:
coded vitalism though she's a 2002 graduate of NUNM and certainly that vitalism is requisite. It's actually quite disgusting how different her definition of "healing power of nature" is as compared to that at the source institution;
that fundamental to naturopathy is homeopathy;
003.b2. ND Greta D'Amico, who practices with her spouse. And at that practice we get:
apparently no listing of naturopathy's principles;
such therapies as homeopathy, which they term "deeply acting";
and a claim that naturopaths have more basic science under their belts in their education than medical doctors;
plus they point out that naturopathy in California is regulated under the Department of Consumer Affairs [ISYN];
003.b3. ND Singleton:
who doesn't list naturopathy's principles on her practice page, apparently;
and we also get the very interesting statement "sure some natural treatments may seem archaic and not rooted in 'modern day science', but it depends whose ruler you are using to measure" [2021 archived];
well, the purpose of REAL science is that whoever owns that ruler, well, it doesn't matter -- subjective preferences are irrelevant. And that's a rather odd statement because her alma mater states that naturopathy is of a mainstream scientific foundation;
003.b4. ND Yoon:
a 2002 Bastyr ND graduate, who appears to have a solo practice at baynaturalmedicine.com. There we get: coded vitalism, explicit vitalism, the label of science upon the homeopathy-containing NPLEX part 2, past usage of "science-based natural medicine" as a label for naturopathy, the strange claim that radio waves cause health problems and that acupuncture cures constipation;
003.c. yet, at naturopathic.ca.gov we're told a major ND-granting school is "National University of Health Sciences"! And within the file name is the language "oversight report".
oh what categorical nonsense, such extreme sectarian nonsense. With .gov partnership.
